In 1983, when we first arrived on this hill this was the only way uphill. Even though now there is a motorable (with 4 wheel drive jeeps) road reaching Sarang we use it only for bringing heavy loads, supplies etc. Around 25 families using this path even today. For daily use we prefer this path.

From the bus stop it takes around 20-40 minutes of walk to reach the top. Though it looks very steep, you will find it walkable and friendly as you climb up.

There is nothing new or special about this. There are many villages in India where people walk kilometers everyday for their daily needs. We see this as part of life. The mention here is because many don’t understand the reason behind walking up the hill everyday. 🙂
