C.Sharathchandran, third eye films has been documenting all major events and personalities in the environmental map of India. He has rare footage on Sarang. The All India Radio regularly invites Sarang to present programmes for them. The children have presented plays, music and other innovative programmes. CNN-IBN featured Gopalakrishnan & Vijayalekshmi in their series, Green Heroes. Doordarshan, National Television Channel, made a four episode feature on Sarang. It was broadcast every Saturday as part of Gandhi Darshan programme in April-May, 2009. Doordarshan used the Sarang campus as a site for their series, ‘Ayurvastra’. In May, 2009, TV Globo from Brazil came to interact and shoot Sarang’s activities for their series, Multishow. This will probably be broadcast in October.

Sarang has been featured in various leading newspapers and magazines like Malayala Manorama, Mathrubhumi, Mangalam, The Week, Frontline, Insurgent, Vanitha, Sree, The Hindu etc.

Sarang – Symphony in Cacophony a short documentary film directed by Mr. Joshy Joseph and made by Films division of India, won the National Award for the Best Motivational/Promotional Film in 1998.

A 25 minute documentary in Malayalam named Sarang was prepared by Samandaram, India. The film highlighted Sarang family’s educational experiments.

Mr. Biju Anand film maker from Calicut, Kerala made, ‘Ore Oraal’, a documentary film focusing on Gautham’s experiences of growing up in the midst of educational experiments and his vision for Sarang.
