Traditional tribal building technique of ‘Goda’ -wall made of woven bamboo- is used to create a check dam. Earth was taken from the reservoir and packed between the layers of bamboo weaving to build the dam. Later Bamboo and other strong rooted plants were planted so that their roots would grow and hold the dam in place long after the woven bamboo has rotted away. These 100% future friendly check-dams are carbon free, built with local materials and help in rainwater percolation in a big way.
