Akku aka Shreerathi, the youngest in the family started reading and writing last week. No one taught her. All the while she was looking at pictures in books, started drawing alphabets and gradually, without anyone really knowing when, started writing. She wrote a letter to her parents. Today she got a reply from her proud and elated parents. Now, she writes her journal everyday and even types Malayalam for the little newsletter that we have!

Learning to read and write is an  effortless act, for which how much money and man-power is wasted! This is not the first experience in Sarang. We have other examples.
